Mark Allara, MD
Dr. Mark Allara has been in Middleton since 2002. His special family medicine interests are in the areas of sports medicine, child development, and vasectomies. Recently Dr. Allara was named one of the top twenty primary care physicians in Massachusetts for patient satisfaction. Dr. Allara has been practicing since 1997. He attended Yale University and the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, and completed his family medicine residency at Beverly Hospital. He is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and is an associate professor of family medicine at Tufts Medical School. Dr. Allara, his wife, and their two children make their home in Hamilton where Dr. Allara enjoys coaching youth soccer, basketball, baseball, and running. He and his family also enjoy traveling.
Michael Yoon, MD
Dr. Michael Yoon began his practice in 1992. Dr. Yoon received his training at Dalhousie University and Dalhousie University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Dalhousie University of Medicine and his family practice residency at the University of Massachusetts. He has been board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine since 1999. Dr. Yoon lives in Georgetown with his wife and their three young boys.
Meghan Tramontozzi, MD
Dr. Meghan Tramontozzi joined our Middleton location in September 2010. She is accepting new patients of all ages and has special interest in women’s health and dermatology. Dr. Tramontozzi grew up in Suffern NY, a small town just northwest of New York City. She graduated from Duke University in 2002 and Tufts University School of Medicine in 2007. She completed her residency at Tufts University Family Medicine Program at Cambridge Health Alliance in August 2010. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha Society, and the Massachusetts Medical Society. Dr. Tramontozzi and her husband Lou, a neurologist and Massachusetts native, met at college and attended medical school together. The couple have settled in Lynnfield with their daughter Sophia and their son Louis. Dr. Tramontozzi has two older brothers who live with their families near her parents in the New York area. Her husband’s family lives nearby in Saugus. In addition to spending time with her family, Dr. Tramontozzi enjoys the beach, swimming, and yoga.
Dana Mann, MD
Dr. Dana Mann joined our family practice at our Middleton office in the summer of 2012. She began her practice in 2008, and has developed special interests in women’s health, pediatrics, skin procedures, sports medicine, and palliative care. Dr. Mann completed her undergraduate studies at Tufts University, attended Tufts University School of Medicine, and also did her family medicine residency at Tufts. She has maintained certification in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). In 2005 Dr. Mann received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, and in 2008 she received the Sidney Zeitler M.D. Memorial Award for her significant contribution to the education of future family physicians at the Tufts residency program. During her affiliation with Beverly Hospital, Dr. Mann served on the Neonatal Hyperbilirubinemia Committee, the Electronic Medical Record Forms Committee, and the Electronic Medical Record Task Force. She was also a member of the Medical Advisory Panel and a leader of the Diabetic Management Initiative. Dr. Mann and her family live on the North Shore. She enjoys family life, skiing, and gardening.
Dominica Costello, DO (Endocrinologist)
Doctor Costello is a board certified endocrinologist, who has been in active practice since completing her fellowship training in 2006. She completed her undergraduate degree at Wellesley College, and attended the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences for medical school. She then did three years of internal medicine residency at Berkshire Medical Center, followed by a Chief Resident year. Her endocrine fellowship training was at Baystate Medical Center. Upon completion of her training, Dr. Costello joined the staff of Portsmouth Regional Hospital and remained in practice until 2013, at which time she moved her practice to Newburyport with Anna Jaques Hospital and has recently joined Middleton Family Medicine. She enjoys practicing all aspects of general endocrinology, with particular focus on thyroid disease and obesity. She is a member of the American Thyroid Association, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the Endocrine Society. She lives in the Newburyport area with her husband and two young daughters.
Nell Winchell, FNP
Katelynne Abbott, FNP
Katelynne Abbott has been a nurse practitioner in our Middleton office since 2008. Her special areas of interest are women’s health and pediatrics. Katelynne received both her bachelor of science in nursing as well as her master of science in nursing from Regis College. She received colposcopy training from the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP). She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is also a member of the Regis College Clinical Faculty in the Nurse Practitioner Program. Katelynne lives on the North Shore with her husband, Tim, and their three dogs, Tobey, Izzy, and Zoey. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as shopping and decorating.
Janice Thoen, FNP
Janice Thoen has been a registered nurse since 1983 and a family nurse practitioner since 2005. She works in our Middleton office. Her special areas of interest include women’s health, adolescent health, preventive health, and diabetes. Her practice has also included high-risk labor and delivery and pediatrics. After earning a bachelor of science in nursing at the University of Iowa, in her native state, she went on to earn a master of science in nursing from Regis College in Massachusetts. She is licensed in Massachusetts as a registered nurse and certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is a member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International. Janice lives on the North Shore with her husband and their three children.
Susan McAllister, FNP
Susan McAllister has been a nurse practitioner in our Middleton office since 2006. “I enjoy the challenging variety of working in family medicine,” she says, “but I’m especially passionate about the prevention and treatment of heart disease. I love caring for families of all ages for health promotion and disease prevention.” She began her practice in 1978. Susan graduated from Somerville Hospital School of Nursing, then went on to gain her master of science in nursing from Regis College, and her bachelor of science in nursing from Salem State College. She has received additional training in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and advanced pacemaker and defibrillator competency. She is a member of the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, the Heart Rhythm Society, and the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International. Susan and her husband make their home in North Reading. They have three grown children. Susan likes to spend her free time traveling, hiking, skiing, kayaking, and gardening.
Brittany Zolotas, FNP
Brittany Zolotas is a family nurse practitioner who started in 2010 as a medical assistant during her nursing studies at Simmons College in Boston and transitioned to triage nurse after receiving her nursing certification. Brittany then completed her master of science in nursing from the Direct Entry Nursing Program at Simmons. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Brittany loves the family setting where she can work compassionately with every patient and family to foster a sense of well being that not only addresses immediate health concerns, but establishes a strong, trusting patient relationship that benefits the patient and family at every visit. Brittany received her undergraduate degree in history with a pre-medical concentration at the College of the Holy Cross, where she developed an interest in hearing loss, American Sign Language (ASL) and deaf culture. Before entering the nursing profession, Brittany worked for three years in medical research, contributing to both basic science and clinical research studies focused on hearing loss at Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Children’s Hospital Department of Otolaryngology and Communication Enhancement. She assisted in several publications and has given a podium presentation at the Association for Research in Otolaryngology. Her main interest is Usher Syndrome, a form of genetic hearing loss. Brittany is a member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International and the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a board member of the Coalition for Usher Syndrome Research. Brittany’s husband is an Attorney in Salem, Massachusetts. She enjoys spending time with family, as well as cooking, reading, skiing, boating, and exercising.
Angela Fortenbacher, FNP
Originally, a Florida native and a University of Florida alumni Angela had graduated with her nursing degree. She moved to the Boston area where she started her nursing career as a registered nurse at Beverly Hospital and continued to advance her nursing career at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing. Angela was board certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is a member of the AANP and the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International. Since then she had worked as a nurse practitioner with hospital medicine as a hospitalist in an acute care setting at Beverly Hospital. Angela enthusiastically transitioned to a primary care setting where she continues to provide high quality health care to the people in the North Shore community with Middleton Family Medicine. Angela lives on the North Shore with her husband, their two children, and their Golden Labrador retriever. She is bilingual and speaks Cantonese and English.
Andrea Satterwhite, CPNP, FNP
Andrea Satterwhite has been a Nurse Practitioner in our Middleton office since 2017. She previously practiced as a NP in a primary care office in Chelmsford. Andrea received her bachelor of science in nursing degree from Salem State University in 2011. Prior, she worked as a CNA in emergency medicine for 4 years. Following her completion of nursing at SSU, she then practiced in a variety of specialties including medical surgical nursing, pediatrics and home care. She then obtained her master of science in nursing from Regis College in 2014 where she became a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. A year later, Andrea was interested in caring for the lifespan by practicing Family Medicine; she returned to Regis College to obtain her Post-Master’s certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Andrea has plans to further her education by obtaining her Doctor of Nursing Practice in the near future. She is also a member of the AANP and Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners. She has special interests in preventative care, dermatology and pediatrics. Andrea’s husband is a general practice Attorney in Revere, Massachusetts. She enjoys church, shopping, reading, spending time with family and traveling.
Julie Moulison, FNP
Julie has been a nurse practitioner in our Middleton office since 2017. Since obtaining her degree as a nurse practitioner, after graduating from Endicott College in 2016, Julie has worked in local urgent care facilities. Julie has been involved in medicine and patient care for over 25 years, beginning as an LPN in 1992 and later obtaining her BSN from Salem State College in 2008. Julie has worked in a number of medical capacities dealing with patients of all ages: Her special areas of interest include health promotion and preventative care throughout the lifespan. Julie is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is also a member of the nursing honor society, Sigma Theta Tau International. Julie lives with her husband and their children in the North Shore area. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking, baking and exercising.
Michael Hill, PA
Michael Hill joined our family practice in 2017. Mike received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Northeastern University. After working at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Dermatology Department, he earned his Masters Degree as a Physician Assistant from Bryant University in Rhode Island, graduating with honors. Mike is certified by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Physician Assistants. He is an active member of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Mike’s interests include health promotion and preventative care as well as sports medicine. He currently resides on the North Shore. During his free time, Mike enjoys sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Cindy Laporte-Unni, FNP
Cindy joined our practice in 2018. She has been working in the healthcare field since 1986 in a variety of different setting. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from North Shore Community College and later her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Endicott College. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners of which she is a member. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners. Her special interests include health promotion and preventative care as well as advancing healthcare through technology. She lives with her husband and children and enjoys camping, cooking, and the outdoors.
Savanah Alas-Ruiz, NP
Savanah Alas-Ruiz has been a registered nurse sine 2014 and a family nurse practitioner. She received her bachelors in the science of nurse from Salem State University, and worked as a registered nurse in multiple south shore hospitals. Savanah then completed her masters i the science of nursing at Regis College. She is now certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International. Prior to entering the nursing profession, Savanah served in the United States Army. After two tours in Iraq and serving eight years she decided to further her education in the medical field. Since transitioning into family care, Savanah has developed an interest in preventative care and health promotion. She also has a passion for developing long term and lasting relationships with patients and their families. Savanah recently moved to Middleton from the south shore with her two children and husband. She enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
